Andy founded his own practice, Andy Bowen Architect, in San Diego in 2009. He specializes in residential and commercial remodel projects. Since November of 2019 Andy has devoted his energies full-time to his sole proprietorship. He is an advocate for historical preservation, adaptive reuse, sustainable building, and community redevelopment.

Forensic Architecture Practice

Andy is a results-driven and analytical architect with over three decades of experience in forensic architecture. He gained most of this experience at KPA Associates, Inc., a highly-respected San Diego architecture firm. He has evaluated residential and commercial buildings and sites and has developed effective repair strategies for problem conditions. He has testified in cases involving personal injury, construction defect, encroachments, and other issues.
